Atari hires a brace of new execs

Lucas Bean and Lee Jacobson appointed to marketing and digital publishing roles

Atari has announced the recruitment of two new faces to its executive team, adding Lucas Bean as senior director for online marketing and Lee Jacobson as senior VP of licensing and digital publishing. Both men will report to the company's president and deputy CEO Jim Wilson.

Bean most recently served as senior director of marketing for Sony Pictures' Crackle.com, and also held senior roles at Reunion.com, MySpace and Sennheiser. Jacobson was previously the VP of business development and licensing at Midway Games.

"Lucas brings an in-depth knowledge of online marketing strategy and customer acquisition to the Atari team," said Wilson of the first hire. "His knowledge of how to engage our players online through innovative marketing campaigns will be invaluable."

And he added of the second: "Lee's extensive industry experience makes him a valuable asset as we explore new business and licensing opportunities that will drive Atari's continued growth. These efforts are key to Atari's strategy to engage gamers everywhere they play and introduce them iconic game brands through newly imagined games."
