ATARI ANNOUNCE DUEL MASTERS: SEMPAI LEGENDS COMING TO PS ONE CONSOLE

Duel Masters trading card phenomenon available to millions of PS one console owners across Europe

London, UK - 6 October 2004 - Atari announced the forthcoming European release of Duel MastersTM: Sempai Legends for Sony's PS one® console under license from Hasbro Properties Group and following the announcement of the title for Nintendo's Game Boy Advance. The title will be released for PS one across Europe on 26 November 2004.

Based on the ultra successful Duel Masters Trading Card game from Japan, Duel Masters: Sempai Legends puts players in the role of a kohai (Junior Duellist). The kohai receives a valuable Duel Masters card, handed down from his grandfather who was a great Sempai (senior duellist). Before the Sempai gets a chance to add it to his deck, a mysterious man steals it and it is up to the player to travel the many towns and villages nearby in hopes of regaining the stolen card. Along the way players face many challenging opponents and will have the opportunity to enter Duel Masters tournaments with the hope of one day becoming a professional Duellist themselves.

The game features all 180 creatures and spells from the popular TV series and trading card game, made up of 120 cards from the Base set and 60 spells from the expansion set, Evo-Crushinators of Doom. The tutorial mode will show players how to play the video game, as well as unveiling the mysteries and rules of the smash hit Duel Masters trading card game. Duel Masters: Sempai Legends for PS one also includes a 2-player mode so friends can save their deck on their memory card and challenge each other to decide who is the ultimate Duellist.

Duel Masters: Sempai Legends is scheduled for European release on 29 October 2004 for the Game Boy Advance and 26 November 2004 for the PS one.
