Artix/Cherry Credits deal

Browser-based RPG maker signs up with prepaid game card system.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL – AUGUST 25, 2008 – Artix Entertainment, creators of online, browser-based, computer role-playing games written for Macromedia Flash, today announced an Asian marketing partnership with Singapore-based Cherry Credits, a next-generation alternative payment system.

Starting today, Windows PC and Mac gamers in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines can now use prepaid game cards to upgrade characters and purchase more powerful weapons, ships, and dragon armor, and can unlock exclusive areas inside the game of choice. Players only need a web browser and Flash to play, so they can try all three Artix games – MechQuest, DragonFable, AdventureQuest – in ten minutes, and then decide which game to use the upgrade prepaid game card for.

Players can purchase prepaid cards at a variety of locations, including internet cafes, bookstores, PC shops and convenience stores. See http://www.cherrycredits.com/en/wheretobuy.aspx for detailed information on where to buy and how to redeem Cherry Credits in those countries.

“Content within the games is updated on a weekly basis creating a compelling experience which keeps users coming back frequently for new content and story lines,” says Daniel Vasile, Business Development Manager of Artix Entertainment. “Over 60 million registered accounts have been created for our games during the past five years.”
