Audiomotion Studios loses its MD

Mick Morris has left the mo-cap company after more than 17 years

Mick Morris, the managing director of Audiomotion Studios, will leave the company after more than 17 years at the helm.

No details were supplied about Morris' future plans, beyond the fact that he is pursuing a, "fresh and new challenge." Morris joined Audiomotion in 1998 at the age of 24, playing a pivotal role in building the company to its current status as the leading motion capture studio in Europe.

"I'm incredibly proud of what we have achieved," Morris said in a statement released today. "This has been a huge decision for me, since the studio has been such an integral part of my life for such a long time."

Brian Mitchell, the company's operations director, added, "It will be a very strange day when Mick finally departs. He has been the popular front man of Audiomotion for what now feels like a very very long time.

"Everyone at Audiomotion wishes him well in the future in his new position and without doubt he will be sadly missed by all of the team here."
