GamesIndustry Fair announced as part of Eurogamer Expo

Wide range of business features added to this year's show as early bird tickets go on sale

This year's Eurogamer Expo will host the first ever GamesIndustry Fair, bringing together a range of business-focused features for retailers, developers, publishers, service companies, investors, press and students.

Eurogamer Expo 2012 takes place at London's Earls Court from September 27-30 this year. Last week, organiser Eurogamer Network Ltd, which also publishes GamesIndustry.biz, announced Virgin Media as headline sponsor. Today early bird tickets have gone on sale at www.eurogamerexpo.com for as little as £6 for Virgin Media customers.

The GamesIndustry Fair will take place on the first two days of the Expo - Thursday 27th and Friday 28th September - and offers a trade focus within the massive consumer show, which is expected to welcome 50,000 gamers over four days.

The GamesIndustry Fair will host the Career and Education Fair, returning for its fifth year; the Career Sessions; a demo area for tools and service companies; the Games Invest conference; the GamesAid/Eurogamer Expo industry party; as well as a range of other facilities, such as a press area and private demo rooms.

Eurogamer Network managing director Rupert Loman commented: "We have achieved critical mass in terms of gamers and games during Expo week, which in turn has attracted journalists, retail buyers, publishers and developers to the show. By adding these new business elements there will be even more great reasons for the rest of the industry to congregate at the Expo this year."

More details on the GamesIndustry Fair will be revealed soon. To find out more about exhibiting at the GamesIndustry Fair, please contact Chris Buckley.
