Nordcurrent, a European game developer and publisher, announced today that its latest WiiWare™ game Arcade Essentials is now available on Wii Shop in Europe for a price of 500 Wii Points™. Arcade Essentials is a collection of 5 arcade games inspired by the well-known hits of the 80s.

“There were many arcade games in the 80s and we wanted to give them a new life”, said Victoria Trofimova, Director at Nordcurrent. "All games in Arcade Essentials are inspired by those classic games, but we have taken them to a new level.”

Arcade Essentials is a collection of 5 arcade games that are enhanced versions of the well-known arcade games of the 80s. All 5 games were designed in the authentic visual style, so they would feel like the 80s arcades, but with modern graphics, special effects and sounds.

With 5 games to choose from, fans of the old-school arcade games will definitely find something for their taste. Whether they like space shooters, arcade puzzles or bubble shooting – they will enjoy this collection.
