Anuman New York office

HdO Adventure creator and Microïds owner sets up shop in the States.

Montreuil, September 13, 2010. Anuman Interactive is pursuing its international development strategy with the opening of a subsidiary in New York designed to coordinate its activities in the United States. After the creation of the HdO Adventure collection (August 2009) and the acquisition of the Microïds brand (November 2009), Anuman Interactive is now tackling the development of its international business by means of physical and digital products (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad).

For this reason and in order to consolidate its ambitions for distribution in the United States - the leading market in the world in terms of electronic multimedia content - Anuman Interactive is opening a branch in the United States that will be managed by Michele Anouilh (formerly with Scholastic Inc).

With a strong background in publishing and video games, Michele Anouilh has spent 10 years supervising international sales (Asia, Europe, Latin America, etc.) for Scholastic Media’s interactive games’ catalog. As a reminder, Scholastic Inc. is a leading worldwide publisher in the edutainment segment (books, video games, etc.)

Stéphane Longeard, Anuman Interactive’s CEO, explains that “the opening of an office in the United States is a prerequisite if we want to increase our business outside of France. With licenses as powerful as those in the Microïds catalog (Dracula, Egypt, Syberia, etc.), our HdO Adventure collection as well as Michele’s presence, we are now hoping to establish ourselves on the American video game market for the longterm. All the sector’s major stakeholders are there (Apple, Microsoft, Big Fish, Google, etc.) and it is up to us to create profitable business

opportunities!”

Michele Anouilh, VP Business Development North America, adds that “the setting up of this office will help us strengthen Anuman’s activities in North America and facilitate communication with our different contacts: partners, publishers, distributors, and journalists. I will be coordinating communication and marketing efforts for the United States and am planning to generate new business opportunities using download platforms”.
