Amazon Digital Games' Dan Winters dies at 55

Head of business development passes away due to cancer

The head of business development for Amazon Digital Games, Dan Winters, has died.

VentureBeat reports that Winters passed away from cancer at the age of 55.

Winters is a former professional baseball player who played on teams including the San Francisco Giants, New York Mets, and California Angels. He went on to work for companies such as Warner Bros (where he was a VP and general manager), Activision, Disney Interactive, and EA.

In his most recent time at Amazon Digital Games, Winters helped the company build and grow its gaming business over nearly four years.
