AIIDE-09

Artificial intelligence conference set for October 14th to 16th at Stanford University, CA.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Menlo Park, CA – May 18, 2009. Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Entertainment Conference (AIIDE) organizers announced the date and location of this year's event. The conference will take place on October 14-16, 2009, on the campus of Stanford University, CA, USA, in the heart of Silicon Valley. The conference is hosted by the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).

AIIDE is the premier conference on artificial intelligence in computer games and entertainment. It brings together technical leaders of game development and research, to examine how artificial intelligence can improve games and entertainment, exchange information about new developments in the field, and share experiences in deploying AI in commercial products.

“Artificial intelligence is central to games, and a vibrant area of research and development,” said Christian Darken, conference chair and professor at the Naval Postgraduate School. “This has been a banner year for the professional AI community coming together at conferences and online. And AIIDE is the premier conference where new AI developments are presented and discussed by the community of developers and researchers.”

AIIDE-09 is the fifth annual conference on game AI and interactive entertainment. This year's event will feature invited talks from notable researchers and industry professionals, a full technical program with papers on research and development, and a lively poster/demonstration session.

Speaker list and conference program will be announced in the summer of 2009. More information about AIIDE-09 can be found at: http://www.aiide.org
