In the Middle Ages England was, under the Anglo-Saxon leadership, the centre of the courtly civilisation in Europe. But when the last Anglo-Saxon king passed without a descendant, a terrible battle about the succession broke out.
At October 14th in 1066, exactly 942 years ago, the first big combat took place: William the Conqueror of Normandy asserted his claims on the English throne: One of the grimmest battles of the Middle Ages broke out. At the anniversary day HandyGames™ presents AD 1066 – William the Conqueror, the battle of Hastings to play along for your mobile. Command the Norman forces and go to war against the English heavy cavalry!
Are you able to defeat the Anglo-Saxon leader Harold Godwinson and his frightening armoured horsemen or will they drive you back in the English Channel? Recruit forces, conquer villages and develop them to castles. Be prepared for the final Battle of Hastings!
