iPhone dogfights on the way this winter.

London, UK - 09 November 2009 - NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc., a worldwide leader in the video game industry, today made public the intension to release the eagerly anticipated Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion for iPhone and iPod touch by NAMCO NETWORKS America Inc. on the Apple App Store in Winter 2009.

At its unveiling at the 2009 Tokyo Game Show in September, players got their first taste of what's in store. With its launch only weeks away, a trailer is planned to show how the game will push the graphical capabilities of the hardware to its limits.

In the game, players can immerse themselves in scenario-based first-person flight sim mode, or crank up the Gs in third-person flight action mode. Both modes feature HD graphics, multiple HUDs, and real satellite topographic imagery from Japan Space Imaging Corporation.

Developed by the team responsible for all console SKUs, Project Ace, Ace Combat is one of the best-selling air combat franchises in the world, having sold over 10 million games since the original game launched in 1995. Always pushing the boundaries, this Apple exclusive development uses the iPhone and iPod touch gyroscopic sensors and touch screen to control both original and licensed aircraft! .

"Ace Combat Xi is a premium game that meets the high expectations of its large and established fan base and looks fantastic thanks to the terrific technology in the iPhone and iPod touch," said Jonathan Kromrey, general manager of Apple Games for Namco Networks. "This is our biggest investment in an Apple project to date and we think gamers will agree, the results look and play great!"

Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion will be available soon on the Apple App Store.
