A Hat-trick for ZOO

ZOO Digital Publishing (ZDP) has scooped three awards in the recent DVD Association Excellence Awards ceremony in New York City. ZDP won awards for three individual titles across various categories.

'Guinness World Records 2005' won the DVD Video Game Excellence Award, 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? 2nd Edition' won the Navigation Design and Implementation Excellence Award 'Manchester United, The Official Interactive-DVD' won the Technical Achievement Excellence Award.

This is the third year in a row that ZOO has picked up awards from the DVD Association following previous success in 2003, and 2004, both for Navigation Design and Implementation Excellence. ZOO also became the only UK Company to win awards three years in a row. All the titles have been developed using the patent protected DVD-EXTRATM development system, licensed from sister company ZOOtech.

With the Interactive-DVD category growing in strength, ZDP's current line up of titles in development will further strengthen the company's leadership position within the I-DVD market. These include:

'Wallace & Gromit, Curse of the Were-Rabbit' - A highly innovative, ground breaking non-quiz DVD game, featuring exclusive animated content. Fully localised releases are scheduled for UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia and Japan

'Championship Challenge 2' - The latest version of the very successful football quiz. UK release only.

'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Family Picture Edition' - Multi-player, picture questions and content that varies depending on the age of the players make this the most ambitious and complex quiz title in existence. Fully localised versions are scheduled for UK, France, Germany and Australia.

'Football Quizz, Le Grand Defi' - The successful French language quiz enters its second season.

'Telly Addicts' - Noel Edmonds has been tempted to return to our sitting rooms as host of this video-laden quiz title.

The DVD Association (DVDA) represents the largest and most influential group of Interactive Digital Media developers worldwide. It lists one of its objectives as "... to make the use of complex multimedia as simple, reliable and fool proof as possible for the end user, while maintaining the highest quality production value".
