New server launched, festive events lined up.

Berlin, 22nd December 2010 – The Berlin-based online publisher, Capital Games, opened a new game server for 9 Empires just moments ago. The new server is called “Loki” and offers fans a new pristine game server to fight for dominion on. The first server is still going strong and will of course be continually supported and built up. In time for the start of the new server and the Christmas period, there will also be a number of events going on in the world of Bathea. Players have their very own Christmas trees, lots of presents, big discounts in the shop and some fun competitions to get into the festive spirit.

“Apart from the very popular advent calendar, we wanted to use everything at our disposal to get everyone into the Christmas spirit”, says Benjamin Armbrüster, Community Manager at Capital Games. “Whether it’s in the game, on the forum or on our social media channels, we’re getting the community involved! And giving away lots of presents!“

An example of this is the “9 Empires Snowcontest 2010”. The idea is that the fans of the strategy game with RPG elements use their creativity to come up with some 9 Empires inspired snow masterpieces. Participants are rewarded with some in-game diamonds and one lucky winner will receive an exclusive prize.

The team behind 9 Empires is really happy with the progress of the open beta. After many hours of testing and hard work, the game has seen some massive improvements, so everyone is looking forward to completing the beta sometime early next year. Participants of the open beta don’t need to worry: the accounts will not be reset for the full game, so no progress will be lost. Of course the remaining time is going to be used to make further improvements and prepare for the future updates.
