505 Games to publish NaturalMotion's Backbreaker

American football title picked up for Spring 2010 release on Xbox 360, PS3

505 Games is to publish NaturalMotion's American football game Backbreaker on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

NaturalMotion hopes Backbreaker will distinguish itself from established football franchises with its use of the euphoria engine, the first time it has been used in a sports game.

"Through the use of euphoria, we are able to create an experience that is truly interactive and different every time. We're thrilled to be partnering with 505 Games and can't wait for gamers to experience this new type of sports title," offered Torsten Reil, CEO of NaturalMotion.

Backbreaker is the first title developed in-house by NaturalMotion, a company better known for its animation technology used in games such as Grand Theft Auto IV from Rockstar, THQ's new IP Homefront and LucasArts' Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2.

Backbreaker is due for release this spring. A Backbreaker iPhone game is already available.
