500 turnout for inaugural Italian developer conference

Milan event hailed a success as local community comes together

Around 500 professionals turned out for the inaugural Italian Videogame Developers Conference in Milan, last weekend.

Local publishers Black Bean Games and 505 Games were in attendance, with Ubisoft Milan and Milstone hosting a successful recruitment area.

"The IVDC's success was beyond our best expectations," offered Marco Accordi Rickards, director of the IVDC.

"[Organiser] Raoul Carbone and I are already working on a second edition capable to match the expectations. One thing is for sure: the scene of the Italian game development is finally experimenting an official moment of union and confrontation."
