3DS back on top in Japan

Reclaims number one from PS3 despite poor software sales

The Nintendo 3DS returned to the top of the Japanese hardware charts last week, Andriasang reports.

According to data from the Japanese sales tracking firm Media Create, the 3DS sold 58,837 units despite only having one game in the top ten software chart - The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D, which sold 10,504 units.

Sales of the PlayStation 3 fell to 36,061, nearly half of last week's total of 64,786. Only the Wii enjoyed any significant sales growth, adding nearly 5000 units to reach 15,406.
