'3D Face Synthesis' Tools Head For GDC Launch

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, February 28th 2005, Manchester, England

Genemation, the Manchester based technology start-up, headed by ex Psygnosis & Sony PlayStation Europe senior exec, John Bickley, will launch two upgraded 'face synthesis' tools, based on its patented 'computer vision' technology, at the upcoming Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, March 7-11th (booth #859).

Genemation's tools are primarily aimed at supporting digital artists and programmers in the video games and post production sectors.

With increasing realism (courtesy of 'next generation' video games consoles), and the requirement to populate 'next gen' environments with significantly increased numbers of realistic animated characters and 'extras',(leading to more complex and expensive production teams and budgets),'middleware' is set to play an increasingly central role in production pipelines..
