3D Dot Game Heroes

Make-A-Hero contest winners announced.

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA -- JUNE 24, 2010 -- Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today announced the winners of the "Make-A-Hero" contest for its critically-acclaimed retro-sexy action-adventure 3D Dot Game Heroes TM for PlayStation ® 3 computer entertainment system. The competition, which challenged North American 3DDGH adventurers to make a custom hero to end all heroes in the game's powerful 3D Dot Game Heroes character creation tool, received overwhelming support from an endless stream of talented and passionate gamers.

"Thank you to everyone who created and submitted a custom hero for the 'Make-A-Hero' contest," beamed Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales at Atlus. "We were fairly certain it would simply be a matter of crowning whichever two or three submissions weren't inappropriately phallic in nature, but to our extreme amazement, there was an overwhelming number of awesome and highly original submissions. Special congratulations go out to 'TheRat' and their 'MANNON' hero for taking the top prize, earning $100 in video game credit from Amazon.com. Who could argue with a shirtless man-tank armed with a chest cannon? Precisely."

In addition to MANNON's impressive upper-torso artillery, five other retro-sexy creations will receive $25 in Amazon.com video game credit: ASCII (by Triston), Sheepsuit (by Orison), Bunnblade (by Ricks C. Anderson II), Birdie in a cage (by townkinkykid), and Phoenix (by Jon Preston).

To celebrate the success of the "Make-A-Hero" contest and to bring more attention to the easy-to-use, incredibly flexible character editor, Atlus released the "Heroes of Dotnia" audition video, which gives fans a glimpse into the grueling process of applying to become the Hero of Dotnia.

3D Dot Game Heroes for PlayStation 3 system is currently available in retailers across North America with an MSRP of $39.99. For more information, check out the official 3D Dot Game Heroes website.
