Vivendi snaps up Ghostbusters franchise

Vivendi has told GamesIndustry.biz that it is working on a new videogame, to be set in the world of iconic eighties movie franchise Ghostbusters.

Vivendi has told GamesIndustry.biz that it is working on a new videogame, to be set in the world of iconic eighties movie franchise Ghostbusters.

In a short statement it admitted that it would be publishing the game, and promised to release more details soon, although it is expected that the game will feature likenesses and voices from the original cast members, and be set after the events of the Ghostbusters II film.

"Sierra Entertainment/Vivendi Games is very excited to share more information regarding the upcoming Ghostbusters video game once our exclusive stories reach full distribution on Friday, November 16th.

"Ghostbusters is one of the most recognized entertainment brands in the world and we are developing games that will authentically capture its humour, chills and timeless appeal."
