Playlogic becomes Xbox 360 publisher

Dutch company gains licensing rights for Microsoft's console and Games for Windows brand

Playlogic Entertainment has announced that it has been granted a worldwide licensed publisher agreement for the Xbox 360.

The agreement takes effect immediately and will allow the company to publish titles for release on Microsoft's console. In addition, Playlogic received the official Games for Windows license for upcoming PC titles.

"The Xbox 360 is a wonderful platform with an ever increasing installed base and the highest game tie-in ratio of all current consoles," commented Playlogic EVP, Rogier W Smit. "The broadening consumer profile and loyalty of the existing user base provide a great opportunity for Playlogic to publish our established IP as well as new experiences."

This follows a similar deal with Sony last month, which grated the publisher PlayStation 3 accreditation.
