A new game from PaRapper the Rapper creator Masaya Matsuura has been released on the iTunes Store for the fifth-generation iPod.

Created by Matsuura, president of NanaOn-Sha, in collaboration with Sony BMG and Method Solutions, Musika is a one button game that utilises the user's music library for gameplay.

"The iPod is a device that revolutionised music and it is now poised to be a progressive gaming platform," said Matsuura.

"Many years ago Apple's tools first opened my eyes to the power of music and multimedia, so it's exciting to release my first game for this device."

As well as releasing the million-selling DS title Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop, NanaOn-Sha is also expanding to create music software for the AIBO robot pet and CG animations for educational TV shows.

"Musika is a natural extension of our existing relationship with the iPod and iTunes, and represents another step in our on-going campaign to broaden our reach in the area of music-based mobile entertainment," said Thomas Hesse, president of Global Digital Business for Sony BMG.

"It's great to work with Masaya Matsuura and Method Solutions to introduce this exciting new game, and we look forward to bringing Musika to iPod users worldwide via iTunes."
