Ni no Kuni special edition oversold, customer orders cancelled

Avid fans are having trouble getting ahold of Namco Bandai's newest RPG

Some customers who pre-ordered the Wizard's Edition of Namco Bandai's Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch are having their orders cancelled by distributor Digital River. Many fans are outraged as it's difficult to even find a copy of the game's regular edition at many retail outlets. Namco Bandai's online store is currently sold out of the regular edition, which is a sore point for users who received a $20 coupon for their cancelled orders.

"We apologize for the discrepancies you may have encountered with your order of Namco Bandai's Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch - Wizard's Edition. As one of our valued customers, we want to assure you that a Digital River representative will be reaching out to you individually via email to address your specific issue. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work through this situation," said Digital River in a statement on Namco Bandai's forum.

What some customers should have received.

"Due to an error in our ordering system, the available inventory of Wizard's Edition was oversold by mistake. We want you to know that Digital River does not take this situation lightly. We are implementing process improvements to prevent this issue from happening again and are committed to regaining your trust."
