Handheld software boosts Bandai Namco forecasts

Bandai Namco has raised its net profits forecast for the year ended March 31 from JPY 23.5 billion (EUR 145m) to JPY 24.5 billion (EUR 151m).

Bandai Namco has raised its net profits forecast for the year ended March 31 from JPY 23.5 billion (EUR 145m) to JPY 24.5 billion (EUR 151m).

The publisher had revised its estimates after brisk sales of software, particularly in the handheld market.

"Earnings are expected to rise above projections due to factors such as favourable performance surrounding sales of game software, centered on handheld game consoles," said a company statement.
