FIFA pro player banned from EA games and services for code conduct violations
Ban comes months after Kurt "Kurt0411" Fenech was prohibited from competing or attending FIFA esports events
Electronic Arts has banned FIFA pro player Kurt "Kurt0411" Fenech from playing the publisher's games or accessing its live services.
The decision comes around four months after Fenech was prohibited from attending FIFA 20 Global Series events and other future competitions for codes of conduct violations.
In a statement released on Twitter, Electronic Arts said Fenech had threatened employees and other players.
According to the publisher, Fenech has since posted a number of abusive messages and videos targeted at EA employees and other players, while encouraging his followers to do the same.
"His messages have crossed a line of decency into very personal attacks and breach our terms of service," said EA.
"We will not tolerate threatening behaviour. As a result, today Kurt0411's EA account will be banned from playing our games and accessing our services due to these serious and repeated violations.
"We build games and communities for players to have fun. Creating a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone without fear of harassment or abuse is a vital part of that."
Responding to the news, Fenech said on Twitter: "End of the day I have never said anything I shouldn't have. This is just deeper than anyone thinks.
"They didn't want me competing at events [because] they were scared I'd win them, now I'm the second biggest streamer of their game and they're scared I'll overtake their golden boy.
"But when everything is said and done we'll beat them trust me. They have money but we have numbers. Fuck then and everyone on their side."
