Games Gone Mobile Tour announced

New event to showcase advanced wireless entertainment

Wireless marketing specialist TCS Mobile has announced the imminent launch of Games Gone Mobile, a three-day event presented by Cingular Wireless which will visit ten US cities to promote consumer adoption of mobile gaming.

The interactive event will begin in Chicago on August 11th, visiting Boston, New York City, Washington DC, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Las Vegas and San Francisco before culminating in Los Angeles on October 15th.

Consumers will be actively encouraged to play the latest mobile games downloaded onto LG handsets, with support from major publishers including EA Mobile, Sony Pictures Mobile and Oasys.

Stephen O'Shea, TCS Mobile's president and founder, commented: "The fact is that most consumers aren't aware that mobile games even exist - and those that do usually equate the experience with low-tech single-player titles."

"Games Gone Mobile was created as a platform to show off the rich multimedia gaming experience available today on the mobile phone and show consumers just how far mobile gaming has come - and how easy it is to download and play," he added.

One-on-one gaming tuition and support will be available for titles including Tetris Mania, Doom RPG, Ratchet and Clank, Scrabble Blast, UNO Challenge, and Snoop Dogg Boxing, and each player who downloads a game will be automatically entered into a sweepstake to win US$500 or an LG game-enabled handset.

The primary target audience for the tour is America's youth, but the tour will also feature a "Parents Zone", which includes rocking chairs and a selection of mobile games and demos more suited to the less technically savvy mature consumers.
