Sony Computer Entertainment subsidiary SN Systems has announced a reduction in the price of its suite of development tools for the PlayStation 2, slicing a third off the cost with immediate effect.

The reduction applies to purchases of ProDG, ProDG Plus, ProView and ProView Plus, extending to the six-month rental licenses for ProDG for developers working on short-term products for the PlayStation 2 console.

SN Systems' director Andy Beveridge commented: "As a company, we feel one of our greatest strengths is our ability to listen to and deliver what developers are asking for. SN Systems' development tools for PlayStation 2 are a prime example of this; we've consistently implemented additional features and functions with each new release."

SN Systems offers developers a suite of industry standard software development tools and middleware for hardware platforms including PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo GameCube and Nintendo DS, providing standalone development tools, all-in-one middleware solutions and performance optimisers.
