Animal Crossing: New Horizons reclaims No.1 spot | UK Boxed Charts

No new games in the Top 40

Over a year since it went on sale and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is back at the top of the UK boxed games charts.

The game rose a place in the charts despite a 21% drop in sales week-on-week.

The Nintendo Switch exclusive has now surpassed one million boxed sales in the UK, making it one of just two games released last year to achieve the feat.

The other game is FIFA 21, which this week is at No.2 in the charts after a 34% drop in sales week-on-week. The EA title was last week's best-selling game.

Every game in the Top Ten dropped in sales this week, and there were no new games in the charts. Overall boxed game sales were down 28% week-on-week in the UK.

Recent releases fell down the charts this week. Monster Hunter Rise drops two places to No.6 after a 56% drop in sales week-on-week. Meanwhile, Outriders drops ten places to No.16 after a 74% sales drop. The game is also available on Xbox Games Pass. Digital sales data is not included in these charts.
