Yoichi Wada, Jason Holtman and Chris Hecker among those presenting at November event

The main speakers at this year's Montreal International Game Summit will include Yoichi Wada, president and CEO of Square Enix, and Paul Holden, lead architect at Media Molecule, the event's organisers have revealed.

Five lead speakers in total have been confirmed for the event, which will take place in Montreal on November 16 and 17.

Alongside Wada and Holden will be Jason Holtman, director of business development at Valve, and Heather Chaplin, author of the book Smartbomb: The Question for Art Entertainment & Big Bucks in the Videogame Revolution and journalism professor.

The fifth confirmed speaker is Chris Hecker, a lead architect for Maxis, who will be addressing the question: 'Can videogames be considered as cultural products in the same way as literature or theatre?'

Early bird registration for the event closes on September 25. The event, now in its sixth year, expects to attract numbers of around 1500.
