GRID demo downloaded more than 1 million times
Codemasters has announced that the demo of its upcoming GRID racing game has been downloaded more than one million times for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers are competing to win an eBay Motors-branded Ford Mustang GT-R in a competition which ends on May 25. The top five fastest racers will be invited to attend an exclusive GRID launch event in San Francisco on June 4 where they can win the GT-R.
"In designing GRID, we focused on delivering the true thrill of the race experience," said senior producer Clive Moody.
"Since the demo launched it's been hugely rewarding to hear the fantastic reaction from gamers and see them getting seriously competitive in the eBay Motors Challenge. We're staggered with the lap time's being set - the top five racers have now bettered any time than anyone in the studio has achieved!"
GRID is scheduled for a US launch on June 3 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows platforms, with a Nintendo DS edition to follow.
