GAME reward cards reactivated

Administrators bring back loyalty scheme

Retailer GAME today saw its reward cards scheme reactivated by administrator PwC.

It announced the news via Twitter, clarifying that users can redeem points on pre-owned stock, and earn them on every purchase.

"Reward Card Update 1: Your Reward Cards have now been reactivated by the Administrators for redemption against pre-owned stock," it said.

"This means that points can be earned on all products AND redeemed against pre-owned items as of now."

"This is only applies to Reward Cards only, at present moment."

Gift cards are still suspended, although the official account did tell upset consumers that they were "working on it."

"Your Reward Cards have now been reactivated by the Administrators for redemption against pre-owned stock," - is that because they dont have any 'new' stock or just part of the conditions?

Kevin, I am sure its a combination of both.
Its possible they had a firesale of new stock or are trying to get maxium value for what remains in stores.

I wonder if they offer something for people in Ireland because the reward card and gift card T&C`s state clearly it can only be used in ROI and not in the UK.

They need to do something with the stock, shipping it back to the UK branches costs a lot and some of the stuff can`t be even used fully in Ireland due to not having BBFC and only PEGI stickers for some games and I`m not sure if the companies want their stuff back except Sony who was so kind to lable them as their property.
