Little Cave Hero dev joins growing mobile company

Japanese mobile gaming giant DeNA has acquired Little Cave Hero maker Atakama Labs, based in Chile.

The company will provide engineering support for first and third party games operated through the Mobage platform, as well as the service itself.

"Atakama Labs' highly skilled engineers and experienced management team will be a great asset as we grow," offered Neil Young, director of DeNA and CEO of subsidiary ngmoco.

"We are focused on bringing the world's top talent together to deliver the best games on Mobage, the premier mobile social network."

The acquisition of Atakama Labs adds 30 staff to a company of nearly 400 worldwide.
