Christina Norman, lead gameplay designer for Mass Effect 2 and 3, has left Bioware to join Riot Games.

"I am thankful for my experience working on the Mass Effect series at BioWare, and think that Mass Effect 3 is going to be the best game in the series," said Norman in an interview with Gamasutra.

"I’m looking forward to working with Riot on innovative new approaches to game design and game development in the rapidly-changing video game market."

Lead designer Preston Watamaniuk will be taking over her duties at Bioware. Her final game, Mass Effect 3, will be released in March 2012.

Riot Games created the multiplayer online title League Of Legends and in February was acquired by Chinese online services company Tencent for a rumoured $400 million.
