Industry luminary to discuss what games can learn from other media

Junction Point creative director Warren Spector will be hosting one of the main keynotes at GDC Europe 2010, discussing what games as a medium can learn from other creative fields such as film, TV and literature in a speech entitled "What videogames can learn from other media...what we can't...and what we shouldn't."

Spector will also be discussing what lessons the game industry should be willing to forget, and just how closely it can actually be compared to other media forms.

He'll be joining Hermen Hulst, Bo Wang and Heiko Hubertz as one of the main speakers at the Cologne event, which takes place from August 16-18.
