Registration opens next week for QuakeCon 2008

The organisers of QuakeCon have announced that registration for this year's gaming festival will open on April 30.

The event will take place July 31 - August 3 in Dallas, Texas at the Hilton Anatole Hotel and admission is free.

QuakeCon will once again host North America’s largest BYOC (Bring-Your-Own-Computer) LAN party, as well as an expanded exhibit area with nearly 60 companies demonstrating their latest products.

More details about the event - competitive tournaments, parties, contests and entertainment - will follow.
