Merger talks back on for SCi?

Shares in publisher SCi increased 20.4 per cent today, leading to speculation that it had resumed takeover negotiations with potential suitors.

The Guardian's Nick Fletcher is reporting rumours of a potential offer of GBP 0.80 per share.

Potential bidders for the company include Time Warner, Infogrames and Ubisoft.

SCi's stock plummeted in January after the company announced it had pulled out of takeover talks. SCi's management quit the company shortly thereafter.

At the time of writing, SCi shares were priced at GBP 0.605 (USD 1.21)
