GameHorizon launches June conference

Newcastle event to feature keynotes from Martin de Ronde and Chris Lee

Videogame industry network GameHorizon has announced details for its forthcoming games conference, which will take place in Newcastle on June 18-19.

Martin de Ronde, director of OneBigGame, Chris Lee, commercial director of FreeStyleGames and Todd Eckert, an award-winning film producer will all be among the key speakers at the event.

Only 250 seats will be available for the conference at the city's Baltic Flour Mill, with discounts on ticket prices available to GameHorizon members.

Carri Cunliffe, head of sector development at GameHorizon is pleased with the line-up so far: "With the launch of the GameHorizon Conference, our aim is to give delegates the sort of unique insights and knowledge that will truly make a difference to the way they think and conduct business in the games industry.

"Our goal is to make the GameHorizon Conference unlike any other in Europe, with exclusive insights from speakers who are at the leading edge of the industry — those few people who are pushing the boundaries and the possibilities of videogame technologies."

And Martin de Ronde added: "Over the past few years, the games industry has seen enormous change, as online distribution, new hardware platforms and broader audiences have widened the videogames landscape.

"In such a dynamic industry, it's vital to keep ahead of the curve and keep up to date with the latest insights, as new opportunities and business models present themselves on a regular basis."

More information on the event, as well as registration details, is available on the web site.
