Toukiden and Vita take second place in Japan

All change on the software charts, but 3DS XL still on top

A top five full of new entries in the Japanese chart has helped boost the PlayStation Vita to second place this week, just a couple of thousand sales behind the 3DS XL. It's 31,271 sales this week are a massive increase on last week's 13,422.

  1. 3DS XL - 33,272 (Last week - 28,281)
  2. PlayStation Vita - 31,271 (13,422)
  3. 3DS - 17,440 (14,988)
  4. PlayStation 3 - 12,554 (9,816)
  5. Wii U - 7,060 (5,329)
  6. PSP - 6,492 (5,091)
  7. Wii - 1,338 (1,234)
  8. Xbox 360 - 330 (282)

Meanwhile four of the five new entries on the software chart were for PlayStation systems, with just Etrian Odyssey Untold at 3 flying the flag for the 3DS. Vita title Toukiden at 2 can also be credited with the success seen by Vita this week.
