Electronic Arts, Vivendi dominate US PC charts

Electronic Arts and Vivendi are dominating sales of PC games in the US, according to the latest data from NPD.

EA's budget title Spore Creature Creator is the top seller for the week ended June 28, with two other EA titles – The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff Expansion and The Sims 2 Double Deluxe – at two and three in the charts.

Vivendi's World of Warcraft Battle Chest is at four, with the original World of Warcraft at six. Sandwiched between the two is Eidos' plucky upstart MMO Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.

There are two more Sims expansion packs at seven and eight – The Sims 2 Free Time Expansion Pack and The Sims 2 Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff.

Activision's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is at nine, with Vivendi's Diablo Battle Chest at ten.

GamesIndustry.biz is the world's most read and influential games industry website. But don't just take our word for it!

"GamesIndustry.biz is one of my starting tabs when I boot up... so it's always one of the first sites I see each day. It's good being able to catch up with what's happened in the US overnight, and in the UK before I'm awake first thing, and know that the stories will be accurate and thought out."
