NetDevil forms web games division

LEGO Racer game will be first project

NetDevil has announced the formation of a new web games division.

The first game in development under the new division will be a PC title based upon the LEGO Racer brand.

"Having a dedicated focus on casual game content is something that we've thought about for a long time and we see it as a natural extension of our team's experience and capabilities," said Scott Brown, president of NetDevil.

"We see casual game content as a key growth driver moving forward, and feel we are in a great position to bring some [of] the world's most recognisable brands and entertainment properties to new audiences."

NetDevil was founded in 1997 and has been working on the upcoming LEGO Universe MMO. The company expects to roll out it the first of its casual web-based game titles in 2008.
