Zoo and Telco bring mobile IP to consoles

Toy Golf 2 first title in strategic partnership

Zoo Digital and Telcogames are to reverse current trends by bringing mobile gaming IP to home consoles.

The first title to be released on PlayStation 2 and PC is hit mobile game Toy Golf 2, with a boxed product due this Christmas.

"Telcogames has a good reputation in the distribution of mass market mobile titles and we see this deal as the beginnings of a strong partnership to take innovative mobile games to boxed non-mobile formats," offered Adam Pritchard, commercial director of Zoo Digital.

Toy Golf 2 is aimed at the casual market, and allows players to experience crazy golf courses set in household locations.

"Telcogames has a strong portfolio of titles providing something for everyone no matter what their gaming preferences," commented Darren Newnham, head of licensing at Telcogames.

"The convergent trend the industry predicted is here. Telcogames aims to secure more licensing deals to bring further content to non-mobile formats in the future."
