Xsens MVN

Providing motion capture facilities to the likes of Insomniac Games.

Culver City (CA), Burbank (CA), Enschede (The Netherlands) - April 2nd, 2009 – Xsens Technologies, creator of Moven, the leading camera-less motion capture solution, announces Sony Picture Imageworks and independent console videogames developer Insomniac Games as new customers. This confirms the acceptance of Moven as a proven motion capture technology in the film and game industry. In addition, Xsens has renamed its motion capture system Moven to Xsens MVN.

Both Sony Pictures Imageworks (Watchmen, Valkyrie, Eagle Eye a.o) and Insomniac Games (Spyro the Dragon®, Resistance™, Ratchet & Clank® a.o.) will be using Xsens MVN (formerly Moven) for the production of their upcoming film and game titles. The MVN system seamlessly integrates with their existing production pipelines and provides extremely short turn-around times.

Sony Pictures Imageworks, the award-winning digital production company, has deployed Xsens MVN to do on-set performance capture for one of their latest cutting edge film productions.
