Xplosiv adds value on all formats

London, January 2005, Xplosiv has announced plans to extend its PlayStation®2 line up further with three new titles due to arrive in the first quarter of 2005. This further strengthens its PlayStation®2 range, as part of its multi-format strategy.

Bad Boys II joins the value line-up at £19.99 to build on the huge success of the movie, DVD and original release at full price on PlayStation®2. Bad Boys II joins such hit titles as Starsky & Hutch, Big Mutha Truckers (which has sold a million units worldwide), Ford Racing 3 and Space Invaders Anniversary.

Two new additions to the budget line up releasing in March are Gunbird Special Edition and Spin Drive Ping Pong both, SRP of £9.99. Gunbird Special Edition brings you one of the most popular arcade series for the first time on PlayStation2. Gunbird offers you the adventure for the legendary ATLERS mirror that possesses a magical power to grant any wish to those who claim it. In the second instalment of Gunbird Special Edition you will set off on a crusade for the legendary wish fulfilling, Holy Elixir.

Spin Drive Ping Pong is the first ever Ping Pong game on PlayStation 2. Spin Drive Ping Pong puts you at the heart of realistic game play in which you battle your opponents for the top ranking title. The exciting and realistic Ping Pong matches can be played in three different modes, "Tournament Mode" puts you in a competitive knockout competition. "Rally Mode" lets you enjoy a thrilling rally. In "Exhibition Mode", you can start a single match straight away!

Xplosiv's portfolio now boasts 20 titles on PlayStation®2 with a further ten new European releases planned for 2005. "These new titles complement the range perfectly and will ensure we continue to build on the huge success we have enjoyed with our unique multi-platform value gaming range," commented Jo Fawell, Product Manager for Xplosiv. "Xplosiv on PC has been hugely successful by offering budget titles at £9.99 and super-budget titles at £4.99. We are seeing the same two tier pricing trend on PlayStation®2 with titles at £19.99 (typically 2 for £30) and titles at £9.99.
