World Elite set to descend on Multiplay’s i25 August event.

4Kings, the UK's only professional gaming team, and Multiplay, the UK's No.1 LAN event organiser, have teamed up to allow several of the World's finest gamers the opportunity to hone their skills in preparation for the upcoming CPL World Tour UK Stop in Sheffield (September 2nd-4th).

Multiplay's i25 event (August 26th-29th) is billed to be another 800+ person event with a variety of tournaments being hosted including a £1000 Battlefield 2 competition. The 4-day event will also become the training ground for the likes of Nicola "ForresT" Geretti, former World Cyber Games Unreal Tournament 2003 Champion from Italy, David "Zaccubus" Treacy, the UK's representative at last years World Cyber Games for Unreal Tournament 2004 and Allesando "Stermy" Avallone, the Italian superstar who has already netted himself $25,000 on the World Tour.

The CPL World Tour, sponsored by Intel and nVidia is a yearlong event run by the CyberAthlete Professional League and is offering a prize fund of $1 Million. Destinations on the tour include Istanbul, Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro, Sheffield, Beijing, Santiago and a Grand Final event rumoured to be in New York. The winner of the Grand Final will walk away with $150,000 and a place in the gaming history books.

"We're very pleased to have such world class players attending our flagship i-series event. Multiplay's i-series have long been established as the premier gaming event in the UK calendar, attracting the top teams from across Europe." - Craig Fletcher, Multiplay.

"Working with Multiplay to enable the players this opportunity is fantastic as it gives them the practice time they need in preparation for the CPL World Tour stop in the UK. The i-series events have always been recognised by the gaming community as the highlight to the event calendar and allowing more World Class players to experience this type of event is great for UK gaming. - Philip Wride, 4Kings.
