Women in Games registration deadline this Friday

Warwick conference to explore ways to encourage more women into the industry

The organisers of the Women in Games conference, taking place on September 10-12 at Warwick University, have issued a reminder that registration for the event closes this Friday - September 5.

The event, co-organised by Rare's Nicola Bhalerao plus Jane Sinclair and Sara Kalvala - both associate professors in computer science at the university - is attempting to explore the issues around women working in the games industry, and how more women can be encouraged to seek careers in videogames.

As well as a host of sessions mixing representatives from academia and the industry, there will be a special conference dinner - a medieval banquet taking place at Warwick Castle.

More information and registration details on the event are available from the official website, and GamesIndustry.biz will have more news and features in the build-up to the conference.
