Witcher 2 artist wants 'real-life animations' for next-gen consoles

Marek Ziemak wants the freedom to create what he can imagine

CD Projekt lead level artist Marek Ziemak says that he wants graphics for the next-generation of consoles that are far beyond what they accomplished in Witcher 2. "Sure, I'm a level artist so for me, it's all about the visual quality," he told CVG. "I want more creative freedom and more great graphics, that's what really makes me want to create games."

When asked to describe what exactly he wanted to see in the next Xbox or PlayStation Orbis, Ziemak described, "I'm looking for like real-life animations. It's like pushing the limit again and again, creating bigger and greater stuff. I don't know when it's going to happen, but I want to see this, these great graphics being there on the screen. I hope its time comes soon and we won't have to fight about pixels on the screen but worry more about delivering a true experience, the real emotion we can deliver through the game."

Meanwhile, Witcher 2 is already shaping up well for its release on the Xbox 360, with the collector's Dark Edition having sold out before launch.
