Vivendi scores five top ten hits

Asian charts dominated by Spyro, Crash and pals

Vivendi Mobile has scored five top ten hits in South East Asia for the month of April.

The company's popular franchises are proving a hit with Asian gamers, with titles such as Crash Racing, The Legend of Spyro and Blackhawk Down helping to secure chart dominance, according to download data from Acme Mobile.

Games based on movie licences are also performing well in the region, with the number one spot taken by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Power of 4.

"We're not sure if two consecutive months constitute a trend, but we are starting to see branded titles dominate our top ten list," commented Acme Mobile's CEO Paul Meyers.

"We believe this brand dominance reflects the larger global industry's move towards consolidation. However, as with the past couple of months, a handful of strong non-branded titles also prove to be popular.

"Impressively, seven of this month's top ten games were not in last month's list, although some have reappeared after a few months' absence. This is the second consecutive month we've seen such a high turnover occur," he said.

The Amob.com April Top Ten follows:

1. TMNT: The Power of 4

2. Crash Racing

3. Blackhawk Down

4. The Legend of Spyro

5. Mr. Bean Racer 2

6. Crash Bandicoot Minigames

7. 3D Rally Evolution

8. Spyro the Dragon

9. Company of Heroes

10. Ali the Penguin
