Three new writers recruited: Martin Gaston, Emily Gera and Jamin Smith.
London, England, August 26 2010: Pro-G Media, publisher of specialist games website VideoGamer.com, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Staff Writers: Martin Gaston, Emily Gera, and Jamin Smith.
“With two years of experience as a freelance games journalist for outlets including CBS Interactive, Future Publishing, and The Telegraph, Martin will be invaluable to VideoGamer.com,” said Adam McCann, Operations Director.
Canadian-born Emily Gera will also play a key role at VideoGamer.com as the site looks to expand and improve its editorial output. Gera has previously freelanced for Games Radar, Xbox World 360, PC Format, Bit-Tech, and IncGamers.
“Emily is a perfect fit for us,” said McCann. “She has a real passion for the industry and this shines through in her work.”
Rounding out the new recruits is Jamin Smith, who has previously worked for the company as a part-time contributor. “Bringing Jamin on full time was an easy decision to make,” said Tom Orry, Editor of VideoGamer.com. “His writing and enthusiasm speaks for itself”.
Neon Kelly has also been promoted from Previews Editor to Deputy Editor after working for the company for two years, following the departure of Wesley Yin-Poole.
“With the arrival of the new recruits, our editorial team is tighter and sharper than ever before,” said Neon. “Over the coming months we’re going be working really hard to refine and develop every aspect of our content. We’re fast approaching the busiest time of the year for the industry, but we have the skills to pay the bills.”
