UK Charts: Brian Lara Cricket returns to the No. 1 spot

Another quiet week for game sales in the UK has seen Codemasters' Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 returning to the number one spot, replacing Activision's movie license Madagascar which drops a single place to number two.

The chart mostly sees minor shuffles in position, with another Activision movie license, Fantastic 4, rising one place to number three, while THQ's competing movie tie-in title, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, dropped two places to number four.

The only title in the top ten which saw a sales increase during the week was EA's Cricket 2005, which jumped two places to number five with a rise of two per cent in unit sales, while outside the top ten the biggest riser was Activision's Call of Duty: Finest Hour, which re-enters the top 40 at number 14 thanks to heavy promotion.

It's a quiet week for new releases as well, with Zoo Digital's Premier Manager 2005-2006 being the only new game to enter the charts - making a debut at number 27.

This week doesn't look like being any more exciting on that front, either - with the biggest games on the schedule being Zoo Digital's Pac-Man World 2 on the GBA and Oxygen Interactive's Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction on Xbox.
