Trumbo named art director for Hidden City Games

Phil Trumbo, an Emmy Award—winning creative director and art director of more than 100 games, has been named Hidden City Games' art director

Phil Trumbo, an Emmy Award—winning creative director and art director of more than 100 games, has been named Hidden City Games' art director.

Trumbo will be responsible for shaping the look and feel of Bella Sara Online, the company's horse-themed online world.

"The continued development and growth of the Bella Sara brand and online world has attracted some of the industry's best talent," said Hidden City CEO Peter D. Adkison.

"Phil Trumbo, with his wealth of experience in translating top entertainment properties into compelling games, is a tremendous addition to the Bella Sara team."

Trumbo was the creative director for Amaze Entertainment, which oversaw projects based upon properties such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and Star Wars. He also directed projects for broadcast TV where he won an Emmy for his work on Pee Weeâs Playhouse.

The hiring of Trumbo follows Hidden City's recent hiring of Joshua Howard, previously the founder and group manager for Microsoft's casual games studio Carbonated Games.

Adkison launched the Pokîmon and Magic: The Gathering trading card games as the founder of Wizards of the Coast, which Hasbro purchased in 1999 for nearly USD 500 million.
