Trion hires two new executives

Trion World Network has announced the hiring of Peter Matiss and Won Seuok Chung.

Matiss will be joining the company as the vice president of marketing and sales, having previously held positions at Webzen and Atari.

Chung will be joining the company as the senior director of business development. He has held positions at NCSoft and Cyworld.

"Matiss and Chung are critical hires for us," said Dr. Lars Buttler, Trion's CEO and co-founder. "Trion is a new type of publisher, uniquely positioned to be the go-to partner for premier IP created for the connected world."

According to Trion, Matiss will leverage his extensive publishing background to lead all brand development, marketing and sales activities. Chung will identify and negotiate strategic alliances for the company globally.

As previously reported, Trion obtained USD 30 million in the latest round of funding back in July.
